What to expect
We will first have a chat with you so you can express in your own words why you have come to see us. We will then perform an examination and take a radiograph. In most cases, we will then be able to give you a clear diagnosis and discuss the treatment options, including what the treatment involves, aftercare, prognosis and costs. We will always be honest about which treatment we feel will provide the best outcome for you, but it is ultimately your choice to decide which treatment option to go forward with.
We do our utmost to give patients a pain-free and comfortable experience, ensuring that the tooth is completely numb before treatment commences. Throughout the procedure, you are still in control and if you need a break you can always let us know. Treatment usually takes between 60-75 minutes.
One of the greatest rewards of specialising in root canal treatments is when the patient tells us that the treatment was more comfortable than imagined, and how happy they are to no longer be in pain.
